fixing a 2018 G310R

my cousin's 2018 G310R bike totally crapped out on him last week. After poking around a bit, it looks like the stator's toast. apparently, the connection to the magneto/copper windings just crumbled away!

I wanna help my poor cousin. Now, the big question is, when he pulled the stator cover off, about a quarter liter of oil drained out.

Can't help but be curious if that's normal for that part of the bike. Anyone know? Thanks for any replies!

Yeah, it's normal for some oil to spill when pulling the stator cover on that bike. Just make sure he tops it off after putting everything back together.

I second @i hate you , because of its wet stator setup, and also use a new gasket if needed to avoid leaks
