Winterizing a BMW G310R

My cousin just bought his first bike a few months ago, a 2023 BMW G310R, and he's a little confused about how to winterize it since he has to store it outside. he wants everything to be ready when the cold weather comes

He's been trying to figure out the best fuel stabilizer to use, but he's getting so much conflicting advice online. Some people say it's pointless, others say it's mandatory, and he's even heard that some brands can damage the engine.
The common brands he's finding here are Liqui Moly, Motorex, and Ipone, and he's not sure which one to trust.

Does anyone have experience with these products or have any other advice for a new rider winterizing their bike for the first time?

dude, tell him not to overthink it about the fuel stabilizer! most of the conflicting info is from different generations of fuels and engines.. for a modern bike like the 2023 g310r, pretty much any of the major brands like the ones he listed will be fine. liqui moly is a solid choice and widely used, so he can't go wrong there! just make sure he follows the directions on the bottle for the correct amount and mixes it in with a full tank of gas. the main goal is to keep the ethanol in the fuel from separating and causing issues over the winter. besides the stabilizer, def key to storing it outside are a good, breathable cover and a battery tender. the cover will protect it from the elements and the tender will keep the battery from dying in the cold. you can also suggest putting it on a stand if possible to get the tires off the ground and prevent flat spots. hope this helps him out!
