USB ports on headlight?

How long ago did they start putting USB ports at the back of the headlights? And how come I just knew about this now. LMAO... I've been messing with the aftermarket ones for my gadgets and stuff, little did I know there are ports just behind the headlights. Hope I'm not the only one.

No more than a decade ago. It's a handy thing to have, which is why I had something retrofitted to my bike. I think the placement is spot on and I know many riders who are happy to have it

Haha, you're not alone, it's a newer thing, but yeah, they've been sneaking those USB ports in there for a while now

Lol right?! I guess they've been around for a few years on newer models, mainly for headlight upgrades or diagnostics and not charging your phone (sadly). You're definitely not alone, though.

idk, I heard on the G310R that the accessory plug behind the headlight has been standard since the early models. It's not always a full USB port from the factory, but it's the dedicated, hot swappable connection point for stuff like the official BMW USB charger
