Weird noise at top of cylinder block

had a chat with my mechanic today and now I'm a bit concerned. He mentioned that the engine noise in my bike (seems to be coming from the top of the cylinder block, possibly the valves) is louder than what he'd expect. Has anyone experienced similar sounds with the G310, or is this just a normal characteristic of the bike? would love to hear your thoughts.

Mine's quite noisy too. but it runs well and it's fast so I'm not really worried, at least for now.

What goes in my mind at the moment that it could be carbon buildup in the valves, you should check that out.
