trans-Central Asia motorbike tour

I've been dreaming about doing this bike tour and I don't want to further delay! I'm planning to go through Central Asia, thinking of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan but nothing's really final.

If anyone has done it before, please let me know! I'm really open to advice and suggestions!

First, which spare parts should I bring? I already listed tires, extra clutch cable, spare clutch, brake levers, brake pads, gasket rings, spark plug, air filter, and of course, my toolbox!

I still have to check for specific routes and see if I'd be passing along local shops but for now, I'm determined to be as self-sufficient as I can!

Exciting!! I have to add that to my bucket list. A tire pressure monitor should be very handy. I suggest don't bring too much spare parts as it would of course slow you down, you don't wanna drive with too much weight. A better strategy is to plan your routes (as you've mentioned) and make sure you have a contingency plan on everything. Check the local shops availability, not all listed on google are active, and get their local numbers just in case. There a lot to mention, I'm sure many will contribute to your adventure here. I'll be back with more too if anything pops in my head.

I'd add chain links, master link, spare tubes or a patch kit, maybe a stator or regulator if your bike's known for issues there. Zip ties, JB Weld, and some spare fuses go a long way too.

Yay, that's the dream. I haven't gone on that trip but I'd love to do it, too. Update us here how it goes. Anyway, you might wanna throw in a spare chain link, maybe a fuel pump if your bike is a little picky, and zip ties. Those are really helpful.
