I have changed the front sprocket to largest size available and decreased the rear sprocket several teeth, enough so that the sprocket fasteners had to be machined slightly, along with the hub flange to clear the chain! Starting off requires slipping of the clutch, but that was the case originally anyways. Two up riding is still fine. There is no noticeable loss of performance, and the engine now feels less frantic. I purchased this 2018 G310R as my previous motorcycle, a F800ST, gradually became to feel too heavy. I still own a few other motorcycles, Guzzi 850 LeMans, Aprilia RSV Mille, Ducati 748, but the G310R is all that I need, and I live in a rural area riding on dirt roads and interstate highway and in city traffic.
