fix a bad starter clutch

Got a used 2021 g310r recently and all was good until the starter clutch started having issues and finally failed last week. I want to try give it a fix myself but have no idea on how to work my way with the thread pitch inside the magneto bucket, also I think I need to know the correct diameter of the thread pitch, but have no idea on how to go about it, any help would be very much appreciated

if you're set on fixing it yourself, you'll need a flywheel puller with the correct thread pitch and diameter for the magneto. BMW doesn't always make that info easy to find, but a common size for the G310R is M27 x 1.0 (left-hand thread), double check your manual or measure to be sure.
Have you already got a replacement starter clutch, or are you planning to inspect and rebuild it?

this is already an elaborate answer props to you @fancyharry. i mean maybe just to add to it i'd say you'll need the flywheel, torque wrench, allen wrenches and socket, replacement, thread locker, impact driver, and maybe even a rubber mallet. from there you probably already get what to do right?
