changing G310GS tires

I'm eyeing these non oem wheels on Amazon for my new G310GS (picked her up last week!). These wheels are similar to the Rally Raids wheels, but a whole lot cheaper, like half the price.

Just wondering what you guys think of 'em? I'm planning on slapping some TKC 80 tires on whatever I get.

Thanks for any thoughts on the wheels!
 
Contragts on your purchase, hope the bike servers you for a long time. As for the wheels, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but if something is half the price of something else, then there's a reason for that. The user materials, manufacturing process and a whole other aspects come into play, so don't expect for the wheels to be as good as the real deal. You may not experience any problems for decades, but that doesn't mean a wheel may not break in the strangest situation possible.
 
Those non-OEM wheels might look great, but be cautious about quality and fitment, Rally Raid wheels are built tough for off-roading but make sure the cheaper ones hold up

Congrats on your new G310GS! Just a heads up about those budget wheels,I've heard they can have some durability problems when you're off-road. If you're thinking of putting TKC 80s on, make sure the wheels are up for it. Rally Raids might be on the expensiv side, but there's a reason for that. If you're planning to really push it, I'd definitley choose quality
 
Hey, congrats on getting the new G310GS! That bike is a fantastic little adventure machine! I've heard mixed reviews about the stock wheels, though. The TKC 80s are definitely a smart pick, but it's a good idea to make sure those wheels can take a beating.

What's your plan with it? Are you looking to hit mostly trails, or are you going for a mix of road riding with some light off-roading?
