Brake fluid slip-up on my G310R

I got my BMW G310R while back from a private seller, thinking they handled the brake fluid change during the first service, it turns out that it's still running on the original fluid from almost 2 years ago when it left the dealership. Brakes feel okay, and I don't ride aggressively, but now I'm wondering if I should get it flushed soon or if any damage might've already set in

yep, been there. Your G310R's brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which drops its boiling point. That means spongy brakes or even fading if it gets hot.
While major damage is unlikely in just two years, its corrosion protection is probably gone. Just get it flushed and bled ASAP. It's a cheap peace of mind and better safety!

Agreed, brake fluid goes bad because of moisture and heat. A flush now gets your brakes back in shape and stops rust

I ended up flushing and bleeding the system myself, I used fresh DOT 4 and it made a noticeable difference in lever feel, I am glad I caught it before any issues popped up

Hey nice catch my cousin up at Louisana has had a similar issue and I was definitely gonna suggest the flushing
